Batman: Arkham Asylum App Reviews

This is one of the best games I have played in years. So much fun, love the fighting, riddles and quests. Amazing.

This game is incredible but it heats up my computer alot and it also drains my battery alot either than that its a fantastic game

UPDATE: Tattieboggle gamepad driver now works with Arkham Asylum! The latest update just pushed out to users allows for the use of Xbox 360 gamepads with Yosemite. A quick google search will allow you to download the driver for free. Please note that you have to have either a wired controller, or a wireless dongle for the wireless gamepad. I’m truly amazed at a game when it’s already about 5 - 6 years old, and you’d never be able to tell. This is one action title I missed when it was in it’s prime, and so when I upgraded to a 2014 MBP, I decided I would test it’s graphical chops with a classic. I’ve played through story mode twice with no crashes, bugs or any other issues. Graphics and resolution settings are completely maxed out and the game doesn’t show a hint of lag. Interestingly I tried turning off graphic switching in sytem preferences, and this made it almost unplayable, so if you have a dual Nvidia/Iris Pro combo, keep the swtiching on!!! Controls are fine with a mouse and notebook keyboard, but the default controls are a little awkward, and the mapping is limited (ie. I couldn’t map a move to the command key).

Batman Arkham Asylum用MOD ホームページ (www.geocities.jp/bcc2528/mod/BatmanAA.html) にあるパッチを2つダウンロードして解凍しておきます。（GoTY版のパッチは入れても入れなくても同じっぽい） 2. アプリケーションフォルダ以下にある「Batman Arkham Asylum」のパッケージを開き、Contentsのアクセス権をFinderの「情報を見る」で wheel、everyone ともに「読み／書き」に変更します。ここで歯車メニューから「内包している項目に適用…」まで行います 3. アプリケーション > ユーティリティ > にある ディスクユーティリティを起動し「イメージ - 変換…」を実行。「変換するイメージを選択」のダイアログを開いたままFinder に切り替えて 2. でひらいた Contents/Resources 以下にある「BMAAData.dmg」をこのダイアログにドラッグ＆ドロップします 4. 「変換」をクリックして、イメージフォーマット：を「読み出し／書き込み」に切り替え、同じ場所に保存します。（ここで、かなり時間がかかります） 5. 変換が終了したら、2. でひらいた Contents/Resources を再び開き、「BMAAData.dmg」をダブルクリックします。 6. BMAAData という仮想イメージがマウントされるので、その「Data」というフォルダを開き、1. でダウンロードした「BatmanAA_JP」にある「BmGame」というフォルダをドラッグ＆ドロップします。すると、「"BmGame"という名前の項目がすでに…」とダイアログがでるので、「新しいバージョンを使う」をクリックします。 （＊Lion以外のOSではこの機能はありません、フォルダを上書きすると重要なデータが消えてしまうので注意！） 7. BatmanAA日本語化キット.txt に従って、BmGame > Config にある DefaultEngine.ini を書き換えます。ただし 3.のマイドキュメント… の変更はここでは行いません 8. BmGame/Localization/INT にあって JPN にない以下のファイルをコピーし、拡張子をjpnに変更 （どうやらこれでスエアクロウ戦で落ちることが無くなるみたい） BmGame/Localization/INT Achievements.int Demo.int DLC6.int DO_NOT_DELETE.int Presence.int Version.int VersionData.int Xbox.int ↓コピーして拡張子をjpnに変える BmGame/Localization/JPN Achievements.jpn Demo.jpn DLC6.jpn DO_NOT_DELETE.jpn Presence.jpn Version.jpn VersionData.jpn Xbox.jpn 9. 一度、Batman Arkham Asylum を起動して、終了します 10. ホームのライブラリ※ 以下 Application Support > Feral Interactive > Batman Arkham Asylum > MacInit を開き、BmEngine.ini の Language=int を Language=jpn に変更します ※Lionの場合、Finder で option キーを押しながら、移動メニューをクリックすると開けます 11. 最後に 10. で変更したBmEngine.ini を Finder で選択し、ファイル - 情報を見る をひらいて「ロック」をオンにします。そうしないと10の変更が元に戻ってしまうからです 以上で、ゲームを起動して最初の画面に「クリックで開始」と日本語が表示された成功です。設定で字幕をONにして楽しんでください。 スケアクロウ戦でクラッシュする場合は、とりあえず英語モードで起動して最初のムービー部分だけ進められれば、あとは日本語でも落ちません。

The game is very interesting, but developers removed the Russian languge! Fix it pls and i’ll give 5 stars

I first played this game on my PS3, but have since gotten rid of it as I wasn’t playing to much awhile back. I saw this for $5.99 here, and decided, “What the heck? It’s only $6.” Well, I went through the whole game already, and am looking forward to playing it over and over. Graphics are phenominal, no lag, smooth. Story is great, who doesn’t love having the Joker as the big bad boogie man, and with the occasional surprise! This game is just all around fun. This was worth the $6. Now, I’m just playing my way through Arkham City - to be reviewed soon. Looking forward to the release of Arkham Knight for the Mac next!

A great game, but it doesn’t work with my USB gamepad, everytime I connect it, the game would crash.

Cheap price and good gameplay, my ps4 controller worked perfectly on this game!!!

how long did this take to download for you guys? its taking forever for me

Im absolutely floored by how incredible this game is. Its... far exceeded my expectations. Havent finished it yet, but I already know Ill want to play the sequel -- bring it Feral!

I RELLY LIKE THIS GAME. THE CONTROLS ARE NOT EASY SO I USE MY PS3 CONTROLLER. ITS BETTER, EASIER, AND MORE FUN WITH THE CONTROLLER. I HOPE THEY MAKE ONE FOR ARKHAM CITY!!

The game itself is well done. However, I have to wonder why it would need to access the Contacts.app where all your contact info is for friends, family, business connections. Thankfully Mac OSX Mountain Lion lets you know and gives you the option of not allowing access. Shiesty.

Game worked fine with Lion but now it crashes on immediate startup with Mt. Lion :( Wish someone could fix this or refund my money back?

ok so i just beat this game and it was great. now can we get batman arkham city with all the dlc? i originally thought this game was terrible but after a while it grew on me. and the graphics are amazing too.

This is one of the best games I have played. Ever. It is a fun game and enjoyable to play. The combat is brilliantly programed. It is very smooth and unrepedative. The game really trully makes you feel like you are Batman. It plays smoothly on a mac. I was surprised. Because of the keyboard I expected to jerk around like a moron when changing directions. I usually play games on a console, but I dont own a console myself. The experience was immersive. Coming from a big Batman fan, the design is great. Its Mark Hamill (i think thats how you spell it) and Kevin Conroy as Joker and Batman. All the other voices are brilliantly acted as well. Visually it is brilliant, they redisigned a few characters, but for the most part it was for the best (it takes a little while to get used to Scarecrow and Harley, but they still look good) It is the Batman of my dreams. Dark, but not excessivly so, funny, but not comedy hour. Brilliant. Runs well on a 2011 OSX Lion (Im not a tech expert so dont come crying to me if I gave you misinformation about my computer) Dear Apple, I have been a good little boy this year and all I want for christmas is the sequel. A hippopotomus would be nice too ;) Thank you, Love, Me :)

I just recently got this game and didnt realize just how difficult it was going to be finding a controller that actually works for Macs. Because let me tell you, its hard. Playing this game on the keyboard is a nightmare! If you want to play this game well I suggest you buy the LOGITECH GAMEPAD F310. This is a wonderful controller that works on Macs with no added software. *Just be sure that when you buy it you switch the slider on the underside from X to D, otherwise it wont play.* That is very important! O and by the way, GREAT game!
